I also think Spike is a great character, he has one of the best developments of any Buffyverse character. Cordelia goes through a lot of changes too, from the start of Buffy to the end of Angel.
I saw the Buffy movie when I was a teenager (and didn't like it), then I think I forgot about it. Sometime in my third year of University, a friend persuaded me to watch Buffy, so I got a hold of it from the first season and loved it. They were on season 5 by then, but I didn't watch it on tv until I was caught up.

Enjoyed this podcast since I too am a huge Buffy fan. However, I never really thought that deep about Buffy. Loved the characters, the writing, relationships, etc. I guess it was all about the adventure for me, the mystery.
Star crossed lover thing, who knows.
I have to say though, I definitely follow these actors and actresses to whatever shows they are on and give them a try. Talk about loyalty :)

This episode made me move the Buffy DVDs to the top of my Netflix queue. Thank you!
